1 About the Application

Seb7a is a free mobile application for Android designed to assist with Islamic devotional practice. It provides dhikr (remembrance) counters and related features to support daily worship.

The Application is published on the Google Play Store and developed by Fahd BOUDAKIM.

2 Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Application, you confirm that you:

• Have read and understood these Terms;
• Agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3 License to Use

The developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on a device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the Application or its content;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Application;
• Use the Application for any commercial purpose without prior written consent;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or service connected to the Application.

4 Free Application — No In-App Purchases

The developer reserves the right to introduce optional features or changes to the Application in future versions, subject to prior notice via an updated version of these Terms.

5 Push Notifications

The Application may send you two types of notifications:

• Local reminders — scheduled on your device (e.g., dhikr reminders). These are managed entirely on your device and can be configured or disabled within the Application settings.
• Broadcast notifications — sent via Firebase Cloud Messaging to a public topic shared by all users (e.g., app updates, seasonal reminders). These are not targeted to individual users.

You may disable notifications at any time via your device’s Android notification settings. Disabling notifications does not affect the core functionality of the Application.

6 Overlay Window Feature

The Application may offer a floating overlay window that displays dhikr controls over other apps. This feature requires the “Draw over other apps” permission (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW), which must be explicitly granted by you via Android settings.

This permission is entirely optional. Denying or revoking it only disables the overlay feature; all other app functions remain available.

7 Intellectual Property

All content included in the Application — including but not limited to the app name, logo, design, dhikr texts, translations, and source code — is the property of the developer or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Quranic verses and hadith presented in the Application are part of the Islamic public domain. Any original presentation, curation, translation, or formatting of that content remains the property of the developer.

You may not reproduce, republish, or exploit any content from the Application without prior written permission.

8 Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Application;
• Fitness of the Application for any particular religious, legal, or personal purpose;
• Compatibility with all Android devices or OS versions.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Application, including but not limited to loss of data or device-related issues.

The developer’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Application (which is zero, as the Application is free).

10 Third-Party Services

The Application uses third-party services including Firebase (Google LLC). These services have their own terms and privacy policies, which you are also subject to when using the Application:

The developer is not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

11 Modifications to the Application and Terms

The developer reserves the right to:

• Update, modify, or discontinue the Application (or any feature) at any time without notice;
• Update these Terms at any time by publishing a new version at the same URL.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Application after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12 Termination

These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the Application. You may terminate them at any time by uninstalling the Application from your device.

The developer reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to the Application at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

13 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Application shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance.
